In With The New!
Those of you who primarily interact with us through social media already know the people in this holiday photo: Coil, Augur, Lt. Cmdr. Atramenta Murderpaws, and Baroness Belladonna Nightshade.*
Not shown are our four incredible shop witches, nor the photographers and videographers who helped document our adventures, nor the artists and events who helped spread word of the shop.
Also absent are the tens of thousands of people who visited this year. Some of those came looking for supernatural inspiration, others for a candle scented like a primeval forest or a novel about ghosts or dragons, and more than a few just wanted to see what the fuss was all about.
We appreciate each and every one of you, and thank you for elevating this from a strange hobby into something that might be called a community.
Magic has always been a tool to allow people to endure times of hardship, and a means of reasserting control in a world filled with fear and uncertainty. It thus shouldn’t have been a surprise that we were so busy in 2025, but we were still overwhelmed by the incredible outpouring of enthusiasm for our tiny pocket of unreality.
