Tarot at the Morgan

The incredible Tarot exhibit at the Morgan Library in New York is running for a few more weeks.

You have seen reproductions of many of these cards, but they are different beasts in person. To witness just a few cards is to be captivated by their lustrous colors, delicious texture, and transformative iconography; but this is not just a few cards.

It is a gathering of some of the most important decks in the history of tarot. We unintentionally ended up spending an entire day on site, time slowing from the gravity of artifacts on display.

And, yes, Coil does sometimes carry a purse shaped like a pigeon.
