New River Gorge Bridge
Despite all the time spent on brooms, Augur isn’t the biggest fan of heights.
Going on a tour of the girders of the New River Gorge Bridge was not the smartest thing he’s ever done. Things were not helped any by the enthusiastic tour guide who wanted to make absolutely sure we got our money’s worth.
If you’re less nervous about gravity, you’d probably love it.
For those, like Augur, who have now decided to remain at or below ground level, there are plenty of other reasons to visit Fayetteville. The vast parks there are overflowing with wonders and are supported by incredible campgrounds ranging from the rustic to the glamptastic.
They’re also the perfect gateway to our next stop . . . coal country!
